Source: https://mentio.dev/terms/ Legal # Terms of Service Last updated: September 7, 2026 These terms are an agreement between you and Mentio ("we", "us") covering your use of the Mentio service at [mentio.dev](https://mentio.dev), including the dashboard, API, and MCP server. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. ## The service Mentio monitors publicly available posts on developer platforms for keywords you configure, classifies them with AI, and surfaces them in a dashboard, an API, notifications, and integrations. Sources, freshness, and features may change as third-party platforms and our product evolve. ## Your account Keep your credentials and API keys secret; anything done with them is attributed to your organization. Provide accurate account information and keep it current. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service. ## Acceptable use - Use the service only for lawful purposes. - Do not resell or redistribute the monitored content as a data product; the service is for your organization's own listening and engagement. - Do not use Mentio to harass, dox, or surveil individuals, or in ways that violate the terms of the monitored platforms. - Do not probe, overload, or disrupt the service; respect documented API limits. ## Third-party content and platforms Mentions originate from third-party platforms. We do not own or endorse that content, cannot guarantee its accuracy or continued availability, and depend on those platforms' APIs and policies. AI classification (relevance, sentiment, intent) is probabilistic and can be wrong; treat it as an aid, not a fact. ## Pricing and billing Pricing is usage based and prepaid, in USD. You add credit to your workspace balance in any amount from $20 (up to $5,000 per top-up), and the service deducts from it daily: a monthly price per tracked keyword, charged per day ($5/30 per keyword-day), and a price per matched mention ($0.008), whether or not the classifier scores it relevant. Mentions the classifier could not score are never charged. Current numbers are listed at[mentio.dev/#pricing](https://mentio.dev/#pricing). There is no subscription and no monthly fee; credit stays on your balance until it is used. Every new workspace receives a one-time welcome credit, granted once per user, which we may change or withdraw for new signups. Payments are processed by **Polar** as merchant of record; tax is added at checkout and Polar's terms apply to the payment itself. Top-ups are non-refundable except where the law requires it, and credit has no cash value outside the service. When your balance can no longer cover one more day of your tracked keywords, tracking pauses; your keywords, mentions and alerts are kept, and tracking resumes when you add funds. We may change prices for future usage with notice; credit already on your balance is deducted at the rates in effect when the usage occurs. ## Your data and our IP You own your configuration and the data you provide; you grant us the license needed to operate the service on it. We (and our licensors) own the service, its software, and its branding. We may use aggregated, de-identified usage data to improve the service. ## Disclaimers The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that every relevant post will be found, that classification is accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error free. ## Limitation of liability To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. ## Termination You can stop using the service at any time; pausing or deleting your keywords stops their daily deductions from the next day, and any remaining balance stays on your account for future use, subject to the refund terms above. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create risk for the service, with notice where reasonable. ## Changes and governing law We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the product or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
